The Nash Community College Foundation and Debbie’s Fund raised more than $18,000 at the one-of-a-kind Bounty & Barrel held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 on the campus of Nash Community College. The event featured seasonal fare, and a barrel-aged spirits tasting with a celebrity guest appearance by Lisa Prince, host of UNC-TV’s “Flavor, NC”. Proceeds will equally benefit Debbie’s Fund and the Nash Community College Culinary Arts program.

“We are overwhelmed by the response for this first Bounty & Barrel event – an opportunity to bring our community together to sample the goodness of North Carolina, and our region, in one location,” Bob Kornegay said.

Debbie’s Fund was established as a memorial tribute to Debbie Kornegay, her legacy, passion for cooking, ministry of service, and commitment to education, and has impacted many lives throughout North Carolina.

The event honored the life of Debbie Kornegay celebrating her service to others. The College will use the proceeds to fund ongoing equipment needs in the Culinary Arts program.
