Alumni Association Spotlight: Paul Quinn

Paul Quinn, Wake County Assistant District Attorney

Paul Quinn is a 2008 graduate of Nash Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy. He is originally from Zebulon and graduated from Bunn High School in 2003. Before attending Nash, Paul attended East Carolina University majoring in Criminal Justice and interning with the NC State Bureau of Investigation. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2007.

Shortly after, Paul enrolled in the NCC BLET Academy through the Rocky Mount Police Department, serving with RMPD for six years. Wanting to advance his education, in 2013, Paul enrolled in Law School at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. He completed an internship with the Duval County State Attorney’s Office and Criminal Defense Clinic in Jacksonville.

In 2017, Paul returned to North Carolina to practice law. Today he is employed by the Wake County District Attorney’s Office as Assitant District Attorney. Paul represents the State of North Carolina in criminal offenses occurring in Wake County.

He is an ECU football fan and enjoys spending time with his family. Paul says that NCC played an essential part in setting a strong foundation for his professional life and wants students to remember to never stop setting goals.
