Dorothy “Dot” Griffin Kelley Memorial Scholarship Established

The Nash Community College Foundation has announced the establishment of a new annual scholarship. The Dorothy “Dot” Griffin Kelley Memorial Scholarship was established by Kelley’s daughter, Tammie Webb, who serves as NCC’s Director of Admissions.

Dot is remembered as a caring mother and friend who was loved by all who knew her. She was full of life and considered her friends as family. Dot shared her love for music throughout her life as a trumpet player and member of her church choir. She was also known for taking special care of her customers at Sister’s Restaurant and Hardee’s.

The Dorothy “Dot” Griffin Kelley Memorial Scholarship will assist students enrolled part-time in NCC’s curriculum programs. Priority will be given to students with financial need.
