NCC Announces Fire Academy Graduates
Congratulations to the Nash Community College students who completed the Fire Academy on January 29, 2021. The following students earned certificates in Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, Technical Rescuer and Emergency Vehicle Driver.

Lucas Crickmore was awarded the Flame Award as the “most outstanding” student based on overall accomplishments, selected by the students in the Academy. When casting votes for this honor, the students should consider the level of teamwork, fellowship, enthusiasm, and cooperation demonstrated by all members of the Academy.
Tyler Manthie was awarded the Academic Award for achieving the highest academic average throughout the Academy.
Fire Engineer Tyler Jenkins of the Rocky Mount Fire Department was awarded the Award for Instructional Excellence as voted on by the students in the Academy.
