New NCC Scholarship to Benefit Eagle Scouts

Local scouts have established a scholarship to support Eagle Scouts attending Nash Community College. Established by Boy Scouts of America Rocky Mount Troop 7 and Rocky Mount Troop 40, the scholarship can be awarded to a Nash Community College student who has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. The scholarship may be given to a student who meets the criteria regardless of the recipient’s program of study. In 2013, Troop 40 merged into Troop 7.

The Nash Community College Foundation, Inc. was established in 1983 to increase community awareness, raise funds for the student scholarship program, and help meet the needs of Nash Community College. Foundation resources ensure that deserving students have the financial capability to take advantage of the quality instruction and higher educational opportunities the College provides.
