NCC Campus Hosts Community ‘Trunk or Treat’

About 1,000 members of the greater Twin Counties community celebrated Halloween at Nash Community College’s Trunk or Treat held Monday, October 31, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM.

The event was hosted by the NCC Student Government Association and Artistic Designers Club and featured trunk or treating, games, face painting, concessions and a haunted hallway.

“One of the most enjoyed attractions was the haunted hallway created by members of the Artistic Designers Club,” Associate Dean of Student Engagement, Kara Deans said. The club is made up of students enrolled in cosmetology courses at NCC and serves as a way for students to develop leadership skills before entering the field.

According to Deans, approximately 30 cars participated in the trunk or treat and members of Team Nash handed out more than 200 bags of candy.

“Our campus is a safe place for students and community members, and we are glad we could provide that for Halloween,” Deans said. “We are always proud to offer opportunities to showcase who we are, and how we can serve the community. The students and faculty really went above and beyond to create a fun time this Halloween for attendees of all ages.”
