College Supporters Participate in Sporting Clays Tournament
Nash Community College’s Foundation, SkillsUSA Chapter, and Advanced Manufacturing Club hosted the annual Student Scholarship Sporting Clays Tournament on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Rose Hill Sporting Clays & Hunting Preserve in Nashville, NC. Proceeds from the tournament support student scholarships and SkillsUSA competitions.
Event chair Paul Jaber said, “It was a great day of fun and fellowship for everyone involved. I can’t think of a better cause to support than local students who are pursuing their life’s success by expanding their education.” Jaber serves on both the College’s Foundation Board of Directors and Board of Trustees.
Participants were awarded in the following categories:
First Place Winning Team: Hedgepeth-Hutson Insurance Services/Nash County Sherriff’s Office (Hunter Rackley, Josh Trull, Brandon Baugham, Brooks Heath)
Second Place Winning Team: Southern Nash Future Farmers of America (Luke Watson, Blake Strickland, Dustin Gibbs and Clay Whitley)
Third Place Winning Team: Barnhill Contracting-Grading/Paving Div. (Kal Liles, Will Bunch, Alicia Ervin, and Will Wilfong)
