Nash Community College Fall Career Fair Success!

Nash Community College recently held its annual Career Fair, marking a significant milestone with the introduction of two career fairs each academic semester—one in the Fall and one in the Spring. The Fall event, held on Oct. 30, attracted 409 students and community members and featured 53 employers from a wide range of industries.

This year’s event saw a remarkable increase in attendance and employer participation, reflecting the continued growth of the college’s career services program. According to Peter Singletary, Jr., Career Placement Coordinator at NCC, “We have experienced an approximate 520 percent increase in attendance since I began in this role, and we are seeing consistent growth year over year.”

Employers at the fair included local and regional organizations such as UNC Health Nash, North Carolina Wesleyan University, and the United States Air Force Reserve, providing attendees with a diverse range of career opportunities.

Singletary also expressed his gratitude to the college’s staff and community partners, stating, “I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to the entire Team Nash family for their support. Without their contributions, this event would not have been possible.”

With the success of the Fall Career Fair, NCC is looking forward to the Spring event, anticipating further growth in both employer participation and student engagement.
